Welcome to Red-door.org

The Red-Door team are a broad group of researchers that are interested in public health. Our research interests span disciplines of epidemiology, analytical chemistry, molecular biology, hydroinformatics, urban infrastructure and surveillance.

Most recently, our focus has been on the use wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) to reduce the harms of drug use and understand the spread of pathogens such as Covid-19.

Our mission is simple: to improve public health.

FOCUS ONE:

Applied research to tackle threats to health, such as pathogens, AMR, sub-standard medicines, dangerous drugs, and health system weaknesses

FOCUS TWO:

Improved research practice to produce better data and data sharing with a particular focus on communication for health outcomes and harm reduction

FOCUS THREE:

Training to address future needs and build capacity for public health

FOCUS FOUR:

Critical examination of new and emerging technologies and innovations to improve health with a focus on the ethics of surveillance

FOCUS FIVE:

Policy to inform the ongoing conversation about appropriate impact
